Can we be done with biopics? They're really weird, tasteless and mostly disingenuous. I don't understand why we're so excited to see an actor pretend to be a real person that existed and read from a script that was written by someone who did not experience that life.

It's very strange, Earth friends.

As we begin to say goodbye to 2025, let's talk about some of the films that came out this year.

I'll start by saying I fucking loved The Long Walk and The Running Man. I loved Walk more, I think. But I was super pleased to see a new Edgar Wright film, so Running Man gets extra points based on my "favorite director" bias.
